Hi team,
A few bits and pieces to round out the week.
Forklift safety reminder
Following Tuesday's near-miss on Aisle C, a reminder that pedestrian walkways are not shortcuts for forklifts. Horns at every blind corner, 5 km/h in the pick zones, and no exceptions on the hi-vis rule. Refresher toolbox talk is on Monday at 7:00 AM in the crib room, attendance is mandatory for all licensed operators. Spot checks resume next week.
Farewell to Denise
After 11 years on the inbound dock, Denise Carter is hanging up the hi-vis at the end of next week. Denise has trained half the floor at one point or another and we'll be sorry to see her go. Drinks and a cake in the crib room Friday from 3:30. Please come down and say goodbye. Card is going around with Priya on the supervisors' desk.
Car park changes
The northern car park will be resurfaced from 9–13 March. During that week, use the overflow lot off Treasure Road and allow extra time. The first two rows nearest the dock will be reserved for delivery vehicles only.
Pick notes
Thanks for pushing through the volume this week. One thing worth flagging up the line: we keep running short on the homewares candle range for the regional store replenishments. The smaller country stores have been ordering them faster than we can get them on the shelf and we've had repeated nil-stock against those orders for months now. Not a DC fix on our end, just noting it keeps coming up. Otherwise picks were on target.
Have a good weekend.
Cheers,
Greg
